FAMILY-FRIENDLY HOTEL REVIEW: WHERE TO STAY IN NANTUCKET WITH KIDS

Earlier this summer, we visited Nantucket, somewhere that had been on my bucket list for so long! Nantucket has so many cute and charming hotels and inns, but there were two main things I was looking for when booking our hotel – that it was family-friendly and that it was affordable. A lot of the hotels in Nantucket are ultra luxury and our of our budget range, so if we were going to go, we needed to find a hotel that was still nice (we have high standards for hotels!) but also wouldn’t break the bank.
The Nantucket Inn was the PERFECT spot for us! From the rooms to the amenities to the VERY friendly and attentive staff, here’s everything we loved and why we’d recommend it to any families visiting Nantucket.

Rooms
The rooms were so cute and comfortable – I’d call the decor clean and coastal chic. There was a second sink in the room outside of the bathroom, which I always think is so helpful for traveling families, and plenty of storage space for clothes and luggage. One of our favorite things was that in between each of the buildings, there were courtyards with the MOST gorgeous flowers and seating. It was the perfect spot for our son to run around while we relaxed.

Amenities
This might be the best selling feature of this hotel for families traveling to Nantucket. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool – just be sure you’re clear on when the outdoor pool opens. Admittedly, I didn’t do quite enough research and was a little surprised when the outdoor pool wasn’t open yet in mid-June when we visited, but we still had a great time in the indoor pool.
There’s an on-site breakfast/lunch restaurant, the Nobadeer Cafe, which was so convenient for us to grab breakfast and coffee each morning before a day of exploring. And then there’s a bar that opens in the late afternoon and is a great spot to relax and grab either a before or after dinner beverage.
This hotel isn’t located right in Town, so they have a free shuttle that runs hourly to take guests to the main tourism area. This was super convenient – we never had trouble catching it, and if we ever were off the schedule, it was just as easy to grab an Uber.
There are also tennis courts on the back of the property and a small convenience shop in the hotel lobby, which is great for grabbing kids snacks when you’re running low.
Overall, we loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it to any families traveling to Nantucket who don’t want to spend a fortune on lodging.
