Day 1
Pick up your rental car at one of the many car rental vendors offered at Owen Roberts International airport. The Seven Mile Beach area of Grand Cayman is very walkable, so a rental car isn’t mandatory, but we prefer to have one when we are traveling with our son.
If you want a few groceries, stop at either Kirk Market or Foster’s at Camana Bay on your drive to the condo.
Check in at the Harbour Heights. These condos are a great options for families because they have multiple bedrooms, a kitchen and are located in the perfect spot on beautiful Seven Mile Beach.
Unwind after a long travel day at the Harbour Heights pool, located right on the beach. There are complementary pool and beach toys, so don’t worry about bringing those with you — save some suitcase space!
Grab a casual dinner at Peppers. This restaurant has a great kids’ menu, and some nights even offers live music! For parents, this is a great spot for island jerk or fish.

Day 2
Either make breakfast in your Harbour Heights condo (because you have a kitchen!), or head out for breakfast at Coconut Joe’s.
Spend the morning learning about Cayman’s wildlife at the Cayman Turtle Centre. They have several ticket packages ranging from one where you get to see turtles and other animals close up, to one where you can swim and snorkel in the turtle lagoon.
Grab lunch at Macabuca, which is basically across the street from the Cayman Turtle Centre. It’s a casual, ocean-front tiki bar with incredible views and delicious food.
Head back to Harbour Heights and get a few more hours of beach and pool time in (trust me: you will want plenty of time on Seven Mile Beach with its pristine sand and calm waters!)
Get dinner at Luca. Even though this is a fine dining restaurant, it is SO kid-friendly. Reserve an outdoor table and go early – this restaurant offers an incredible view of the sunset.

Day 3
After breakfast in your condo, head to Camana Bay to stroll around. There is tons of great shopping, whether you’re looking for clothing, jewelry or accessories. There are two fountain areas at Camana Bay that are great for kids, so bring a swimming suit! The Crescent Fountain is larger and at the back of the property, and there is a smaller one near the movie theater. Don’t miss the observation tower, which offers a great panoramic view of the island at the top.
Stop in Next Chapter before lunch – this is a huge book and toy store, so pick something new out before lunch to help keep kids occupied.
Have lunch at Waterfront Urban Diner which is located right on the harbor. They have a great kids menu, and it’s so much fun to watch all of the boats sail by!
Spend the rest of your day on Seven Mile Beach (again, you will NOT want to miss it!).
Disclaimer: I definitely recommend adding more than three days to your Grand Cayman itinerary – this post is purely to illustrate what could be done in three days! Check out my full Grand Cayman travel guide for more hotel, restaurant and activity recommendations for a longer stay.
