Why Camana Bay Belongs on Every Grand Cayman Itinerary

Every year when we go to Grand Cayman, Camana Bay is one of the places we make sure to visit. They have over 20 restaurants, tons of shopping, and some activities that are perfectly tailored to little kids.Â
It’s located right in the middle of Seven Mile Beach, so it’s super easy to get to if you’re staying in a hotel/condo in that area. We typically pick a day in the middle of our trip (when we need a break from the beach), and spend a few hours at Camana Bay, grab some lunch, explore and pop in a few stores.Â
When you visit, make sure to check out my top recommendations that are perfect for families with little kids.Â

Camana Bay Dining
The Waterfront Urban Diner: This is one of our favorite family-friendly restaurants in Grand Cayman. They have a great kids menu and the vibe is very laid back. We normally sit outside, and the tables overlook the harbor so our son loves watching the boats come and go.
KARoo: KARoo is a great option for a meal, or just for parents to grab a cocktail while kids play. The location overlooks the Crescent fountain (see more on this below!), so kids can play and splash in the water while parents look on.
Gelato & Co.: I typically bribe my son with a scoop of gelato from Gelato & Co. for good behavior every time we visit. They have a ton of flavors and lots of seating outside of the store. We always enjoy cooling down from the Cayman heat with a sweet treat.Â

Camana Bay Shopping
Little Coconuts: This store is SO CUTE. Do not go here if you don’t want to spend some unnecessary money. They have tons of cute kids clothes from boutique brands, as well as toys, books and gifts.
Next Chapter: This is a bookstore/toy store that my son absolutely loves. We will usually stop here before lunch or dinner, pick out a small new toy to take to the restaurant and that helps keep him entertained for most of the meal!
Foster’s: Foster’s is one of the main grocery chains in Cayman. There is a large location in Camana Bay that is very convenient to stop at if you need to pick up a few supplies.Â

Camana Bay Activities
Fountains: Camana Bay offers both a large, 30-foot fountain and smaller interactive fountains for little kids. My three-year-old is the perfect age to enjoy both! These are a great place for kiddos to cool off, and are free for kids to enjoy from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. every day.Â
Observation Tower: The 75-foot tall observation tower offers awesome views of the island. One of the best parts is the mosaic that runs up the staircase of an underwater scene. This makes the climb up much more interesting for kids, and it’s fun to point out all of the marine life you see as you go!
Camana Bay Cinema: This is the only movie theater in Grand Cayman and has seven different screens, so lots of potential for movies for the whole family. Keep this in mind for a rainy day, or if you’re just looking for a relaxing, downtime activity.Â
